Gameheads’ Oakland Video Game Fest

On December 2-4, celebrate multiculturalism and tech at Gameheads’ Oakland Video Game Fest. The event features a Game Jam, bringing together aspiring game developers to plan, design and create a video game within the span of 48 hours. The event also features Game Design and Development Workshops and other educational opportunities for students and adults taught by industry professionals; exhibit booths showcasing indie games, artists and other showcases of STEAM talent from the community; a Play Ground with curated video games; and more.

Friday, December 2
4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Check in and registration for Game Jam Participants @ United Roots Oakland

6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Professional Mixer at Kapor Center for Social Impact (Fireside Chat)

Saturday, December 3
9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. – Game Jam and Workshops @ the Kapor Center for Social Impact

12 noon – 6 p.m. – Play Ground at United Roots Oakland

Sunday, December 4
9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Game Jam and workshops at Kapor Center for Social Impact

12 noon – 4 p.m. – Play Ground at United Roots Oakland

2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Game showcase and closing ceremonies at Kapor Center for Social Impact

Oakland Video Game Fest events will be held at The Kapor Center for Social Impact, located at 2148 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612; United Roots Oakland located at 2781 Telegraph Ave, Oakland, CA 94612

The Fest is free but the event requires an RSVP.
